p a r e n t s,

Welcome to our website! Here you can find all information regarding recruitment, philanthropy events, and other fraternity functions including Mother's Weekend and Father's Weekend.

If you're reading this page it is most likely because your son has expressed interest in joining Delta Chi at the College. The benefits of joining a brotherhood are numerous: established social and professional networks, local and nationwide philanthropic opportunities, and friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Although the Delta Chi chapter at The College of William & Mary was only established a decade ago, our roots go all the way back to 1890 at Cornell University. Originally a law fraternity, Delta Chi grew to become a general fraternity in 1922 and was the first Greek organization to abolish hazing.

Thus, we have a strict zero tolerance policy towards hazing, and we strongly encourage either you or your son to contact the fraternity if there are any concerns about the activities in which they partake. Delta Chi Nationals as well as the College have approved our pledge process ensuring its comprehensiveness, effectiveness, and most importantly, safety.

Furthermore, Associate Members, what we call our new members, will be monitored in order to ensure that they meet all chapter and school requirements for membership, including academic performance. We strive to make the pledge process compatible with the pursuit of a sound education, which should be a student's foremost priority during their time at the College.

Delta Chi's Associate Member Program is designed to do exactly that: educate our new members. During the weeks following bid day, your son will learn about the Delta Chi Fraternity, life at William & Mary, and, hopefully, themselves. Philanthropy events, active community involvement, and supervised social gatherings will enhance the experience and teach your son invaluable lessons that will serve him well throughout college and beyond.

While associate member education eventually concludes, the learning continues. Our goal is to prepare young men for their undergraduate years but also for the life beyond the walls of William & Mary.

We understand the questions that families often have about joining a fraternity. Delta Chi helps the maturation process of members becoming gentleman. We hope they represent Delta Chi and themselves with the highest honor possible. If we can ever be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at deltachiwm1890@gmail.com.

For many, pledging Delta Chi is and will forever remain the best decision of their college career, and we are confident that your son will feel the same way if he chooses to do so.

Warm Regards,

The Delta Chi Fraternity
